So, who likes donuts? I certainly do, but obviously they aren’t the greatest of options for snacks. These Protein Donuts are different! They’re high protein, good carbs from oat flour and low in sugar.
All you need to do is make the batter from my banana bread muffin recipe:
- Spoon the muffin batter into donut pans! It will make approximately 12.
- Make sure you don’t fill each donut hole to the top as these will rise. They don’t need as much time to bake as the muffins, so bake them at 350 degrees and take them out and check them around 13-15 minutes.
- Once cooled, top with chocolate icing:
- 1/2 Cup Stevia Sweetened Chocolate Chips + 1/2 Cup Regular Chocolate Chips (or all regular)
- 1 Tsp Coconut Oil
- 1 Tsp Almond Milk
Microwave for about 30 seconds at a time, taking out to stir until everything is melted.
Spread onto donuts and top with sprinkles!
